Unfortunately, nowadays is mostly conventionally produced silk on the market. This means that people work under poor production conditions and all caterpillars are killed to obtain the thread.


“Silky Simple” offers a concept for a completely sustainable and environmentally conscious produced silk collection. With “Peace Silk” - also called Ahimsa Silk, is the main focus on non-violent silk production. That allows the silkworm to complete the metamorphosis into the butterfly. Furthermore, "Peace Silk" is certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and is manufactured in India under humane, fair and organic standards. Since the “Peace Silk” fabric dealer is based in Leipzig, pants only have to be produced on request. These are made in Berlin and naturally dyed in the desired color. To compensate for the footprint, "Atomsphere" is used for compensation. In addition, proceeds from each pair of pants go to a charitable organization.
Why silk? Silk is an outstanding fabric that combines unique properties. A unique among the fibers - because it doesn't matter whether it's warm or cold - silk creates its own climate, which means you neither sweat nor freeze. It can absorb about 30% of its own weight in liquid and is still very light. In addition to its very brilliant colors, it has the greatest natural elasticity of all natural fibers and is therefore as good as crease-free.

In der heutigen  Zeit befindet sich leider noch zum großen Teil nur herkömmlich produzierte Seide auf dem Markt. Das heißt Menschen arbeiten unter schlechten Produktionsbedingungen und die Raupen werden für die Gewinnung des Fadens getötet.

“Silky Simple” bietet ein Konzept für ein komplett nachhaltig und umweltbewusste produzierte Seidenkollektionen. Bei Peace Silk - auch Ahimsa Seide genannt, liegt das Hauptaugenmerk in gewaltfreier Seidengewinnung. Das heißt, der Seidenraupe wird die Vollendung der Metamorphose bis zum Schmetterling ermöglicht. Des Weiteren ist "Peace Silk" nach dem Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) zertifiziert und wird unter humanen, fairen, als auch biologischen Standards in Indien hergestellt. Da der Stoffhändler von Peace Silk in Leipzig stationiert ist, brauch erst auf Anfrage eine Hose produziert werden. Diese werden in Berlin angefertigt und in der jeweiligen Wunschfarben natürlich gefärbt. Um den Footprint zu kompensieren, wird mit "Atomsphere" kompensiert. Zusätzlich geht für jede Hose ein Erlös an eine wohltätige Organisation.
Warum Seide? Seide ist ein herausragender Stoff, der einzigartige Eigenschaften kombiniert. Ein Unikat unter den Fasern - denn egal, ob es warm oder kalt ist - Seide kreiert dein eigenes Klima, wodurch du weder schwitzt noch frierst. Sie kann etwa 30 % ihres Eigengewichtes an Flüssigkeit aufnehmen und ist trotzdem sehr leicht. Neben ihren sehr brillanten Farben besitzt sie die größte natürliche Elastizität aller Naturfasern und ist damit so gut wie knitterlos.
